SSAB-AG - design and execution of civil, industrial and agricultural construction works.
SSAB-AG is a construction company whose field of activity is the provision of general contracting for large-scale investment projects in various fields, with 29 years of experience in this industry. It entered the market in 1991, offering the best solutions, even for the most demanding customers. The last large-scale project of the company was the Aerostar hangar in Iași, a construction in which approximately 200 people will work to repair civil aircraft in the Airbus 320 and Boeing 737 category. The hangar in Iași, the second construction of this type after the one in Bacău, was made with great attention to detail, using the best construction materials, such as metal profiles assembled with high-strength bolts. The facades of the hangar were made of metal panels with polyurethane foam thermal insulation, and the floor was finished with epoxy paint. The door consists of 10 sections of metal structure with an opening of 83 m and a height of 13.5 m. The opening of 83 m, made without intermediate pillars, is the largest so far for a construction of this type.
The gates fold into a space to the left and right, located inside the building. The indoor retreat solution is recommended in climatic areas where it is winter, with a frost / thaw phenomenon. The gates are operated by control panels, have different opening times of departure and are equipped with obstacle detection sensors. The movement of the gates is provided with a sliding system on the rails, which was provided with side drains for collecting rainwater accumulation between these rails. SSAB-AG is the only manufacturer in Romania for doors of this type. Next to the hangar, a 3-level technical annex was built on a metal structure. The design of the hangar, the gates and the entire space was made in the design office of SSAB-AG.
